One of the Anglesey “Beautiful Set” - A real pioneer in the kayaking world.
“I first met Chris in 2004 when I was sitting at a table with some friends planning a trip to sea kayak around Britain the following year.
Chris came bouncing in, dropped a piece of fabric on the table and proceeded to attack it with a fork to demonstrate its toughness. The fabric was Aquatherm and we were so impressed we used it on that trip and subsequent trips including to places like Madagascar and Greenland.
Chris would always go the extra mile, including once making custom Aquatherm dry bags for our shotguns! These days my expeditions are shorter ones with my young kids, but Reed kit still features - of course including Aquatherm which is great for keeping kids warm and comfortable on the beach.
One pair of my Reed thermals trousers are 10 years old and still going strong. It’s great to be able to use kit that is PTFE free and made in Britain. Here’s to another 25 years."
