Aquatherm® and Aquatherm Fleece®

Recommend hand washing with warm soapy water.

Turn garment inside out. Short, warm, delicate wash, max 40 degrees in mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not spin. Do not wring.

Hang garments from their cuffs and neck to ensure that if there should be any water left then it can drain away easily.

Store clean and dry indoors away from heat and direct sunlight

Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry over hot radiators or near excessive heat

How do I wash and care for my Aquatherm® and Aquatherm Fleece® garments?

For Aquatherm®, Super-stretch Aquatherm® and Aquatherm Fleece®:

Turn the garment inside out.
Use a short, warm, delicate wash with a maximum temp 40 degrees C° in mild soapy water .
Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
Do not spin.
Do not wring.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
Do not bleach.
Do not dry over hot radiators or near excessive heat.
Hang garments from their cuffs and neck to ensure that if there should be any water ingress in the double fabric seals then it can drain easily.

Bale Hole all Decks should have one

I was a bit unsure about the value of adding a bale hole to my sprayskirt but now I have it I wouldn’t be without it. Let’s no water in and allows easy access and use of pump (and water bladder) stored in the cockpit

Why I love my bale Hole!

Since my first purchase of spraydeck with Bale Hole for my Rebel Ilaga, I cant image a spraydeck without one! Hence I have recently purchased one for my Tempest also.
So useful in many situacions....
Kayaks without day hatch, a Bale Hole allows you to have close at hand on your lap those "day hatch objectos" ( maybe not in possible capsize conditions without a secure roll tecnique, not good to wet exit and lose all stuff😉)

A re-entry......spraydeck closed on quickly and pump out water through the Bale Hole ...

Eskimo rolling/ balance brace etc practice sessions; with warmer conditions out here in the med we are not always in drysuits or jackets, so after a few layback rolls etc, water has always seeped down through the waist of a spraydeck... Bale Hole to pump It out instead of opening and refitting spraydack each time.

The times /situations when we have to do a fast launch through the shore waves and close spraydeck once past
the breaking water, snap on quick and pump through Bale Hole.

These are just some of the reasons from my personal experience why I highly recommend a Bale Hole!

My pogies were great on a Euro paddle, but didn't fit a Greenland stick. For only a little extra, Reed made custom ones. They are asymmetric, with one side snug against the loom, and the other slightly wider to fit where the blade meets the loom. This allows flexibility in use, I can slide my hands on the paddle without restriction.
Because the 'cuffs' stay open, it's easy and quick to put hands into the pogies. I am delighted with them.

As my personal leg sizes didn't fit with the standard sizes I contacted the company and spoke to the extremely patient and helpful Lucia. For a small fee a bespoke pair were made. The order was placed late Wednesday afternoon and my socks arrived on Friday. Not only was this a super fast service but the socks are a great fit and very well made.

I have bought a few of these spray decks for both myself, friends and club over the years and have had no problems with them other than normal wear and tear. They pack away very small and are very quick drying.

Aquatherm Spray Deck With Adjustable Waist

After yet another so called waterproof fishing jacket failed on me I decided to ask on the various fishing groups what they considered to be the best 100% waterproof jacket was and the clear winner was this jacket, I’ve since tried it out and the quality is outstanding, it’s also cut to be perfect for casting and I can confirm it is definitely waterproof, has to be the best jacket on the market by far 100% 👍

Awesomely versatile hood

Been wearing my reed hood in the colder months for years and just replaced with another one. Fits nicely under a helmet for white water kayaking, surf kayaking, or just worn on its own to keep the noggin warm on colder breezy days when not needing to wear a lid. Easy to wear around the neck if it starts getting warm or packs away easily in a pocket. Size large fits me well at 57cm.

Aquatherm Hood

The best pogies

I'd tried neoprene in the past and they were always heavy and clammy.
These are light and don't retain water so much warmer in practice.

The stiffened opening makes them much easier to use and means the fabric isn't stuck to your hand.

A bespoke order for a tall guy.

Bought for rowing, namely launch and recovery of a 5 person wooden skiff. Recommended by other rowers, my concern being they might not fit my height...but I emailed and they were happy to ask for measurements. They like to provide a close fit, but tucking my trousers into my socks stopped them riding up. Yet to go rowing but am glad I took the advice of the fleece lined version as will only be using in winter when shorts and wet legs are just too cold for me!

Enquired on Monday, received on Thursday.

Simply the best, but….

Nothing compares to Reeds Tuiliq, material, fit, function,…. I can‘t think of anything of importance missing,

But: if you plan any of these great items to be shipped abroad, be prepared to spend a significant amount for customs duties. Very significant.
I dont understand a lot about Brexit, but its definitly not good for this company….nor for myself.
