Been wearing my reed hood in the colder months for years and just replaced with another one. Fits nicely under a helmet for white water kayaking, surf kayaking, or just worn on its own to keep the noggin warm on colder breezy days when not needing to wear a lid. Easy to wear around the neck if it starts getting warm or packs away easily in a pocket. Size large fits me well at 57cm.
Bought for rowing, namely launch and recovery of a 5 person wooden skiff. Recommended by other rowers, my concern being they might not fit my height...but I emailed and they were happy to ask for measurements. They like to provide a close fit, but tucking my trousers into my socks stopped them riding up. Yet to go rowing but am glad I took the advice of the fleece lined version as will only be using in winter when shorts and wet legs are just too cold for me!
Enquired on Monday, received on Thursday.
Friendly and professional service at a reasonable price.
Nothing compares to Reeds Tuiliq, material, fit, function,…. I can‘t think of anything of importance missing,
But: if you plan any of these great items to be shipped abroad, be prepared to spend a significant amount for customs duties. Very significant.
I dont understand a lot about Brexit, but its definitly not good for this company….nor for myself.
These thigh high fleece lined socks are great. Easy to wear under existing wet shoes and keep you feet absolutely dry when launching. Also keep the drips off when paddling the kayak. Great for the cold winter launches.
Amazing , what can I say!!!! Spoke to your amazing team on phone Tuesday and you delivered Wednesday . Wore them at rowing regatta Saturday and so did the trick, told other teams about them , so interested and I think you will be getting more orders coming through !
Thankyou so very much for your measurements and fantastic customer service......
Reed made this spray deck to my provided custom dimensions and it fits my cockpit perfectly.
The quality of manufacture and the material used is the best you can get.
Highly recommended.
Not only do I use them for sea kayaking and canoeing but I also use them under my work gear as I’m a mobile mechanic and I’m out in all weather conditions
Bought for the colder winter coastal rowing, for when launching gig off a beach or slipway. A great solution, suitable length coming above the knee. Bought the non-fleece, since the fleece would just create unnecessary bulk - just wear toasty socks instead to keep warm.
