WHAT ARE THE CHILLCHEATER FABRICS?
Reed Chillcheater® Ltd have developed a number of fabrics over the last 10 years. Aquatherm® and Super Stretch Aquatherm®, two revolutionary new lightweight and waterproof fabrics which provide insulation from wind and wet and give complete protection from UV rays.
Additionally Reed Chillcheater® produces a range of Transpire Fleece®. An extremely comfortable fast wicking fleece worn next to the skin with world beating warmth to weight ratio.
These three fabrics are uniquely developed by Reed Chillcheater® and are only available under the Reed® brand.
All of these fabrics form the lightest, thermal technical layers and are ideal for many surface watersports, offering unrestricted freedom of movement.
HOW WARM IS THE AQUATHERM FULL SUIT AND AQUATHERM SEPARATES?
These items are the approximate equivalent of a 2mm neoprene wetsuit which is ideal for summer use (UK temps), when used on their own.
In the UK winter, these items can be superb booster base layers worn under 3mm neoprene (summer) suits. This combination gives winter warmth with an added flexibility previously unknown in winter wetsuit coverage.
CAN I WEAR AQUATHERM TOPS AND BOTTOMS UNDERNEATH A CAGOUL/WETSUIT FOR SAILING, SURFING, CANOEING, CAVING, ETC?
Yes!!
We have carried out testing with top-end athletes, explorers and recreational sports folk where our garments have consistently kept athletes comfortable and warm when used under cagoules for canoeing; and also 3mm wetsuits when surfing.
ARE CHILLCHEATERS BREATHABLE?
Yes!!
A short sleeved top will allow 1.5 L/M2 of vapour to pass through its membrane in 24 hours. This high wicking process rapidly pulls moisture away from the body to keep you warm.
Chillcheater® tops and trousers have a comfortable knit inner fabric which makes for a 'dry' feel when worn next to the skin.
FOR WHICH ACTIVITIES/SPORTS IS A CHILLCHEATER GOOD FOR?
Canoeing, Kayaking, Surf Lifesaving, Triathlon, Surfing, Swimming (pool & sea), Water Skiing, Sailing, Windsurfing, Diving, Coasteering, Diving, as an Anti-Sting Suit......so in fact all water related activity!
HOW GOOD A FIT IS IT FOR CHILDREN?
Excellent and UV protecting! (From approximately age 18 months upwards). Children's sizes are fitted with zips in the back, so the kids can get them on and off themselves.
HOW TIGHT FITTING DOES IT HAVE TO BE?
For recreational use, a comfortable fit is the generally accepted view. For this, breathe in when taking your measurements. For canoeing, sailing and other surface water sports we advise you to take a slightly larger fit to allow for extra movement (the size charts allow for these variations).
For competition use, a tight fit is often preferred and for this measure your dimensions when physically relaxed.

MY WAIST MEASUREMENT IS BIGGER THEN MY CHEST MEASUREMENT, WHICH SIZE DO I ORDER?
Use the size from the chart that corresponds with the larger measurement.
DO REED PRODUCTS COME IN ANY OTHER COLOURS?
Yes. Our Aquatherm® ranges come in Black, Royal Blue and Yellow.
The Aquatherm Fleece® range comes in both Navy Blue and Red.

Turn inside out after use. Short warm wash only (max 40 degrees in mild soapy water)
Alternatively you can rinse thoroughly after each use and air dry.
GARMENT CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
- Do not spin wash.
- Do not wring dry.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not iron.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not dry over radiators or near excessive heat.
